Athlete:

Alice Betto

Based in Rome, Italy, Alice represents Italy in triathlon and has big ambitions within the sport.

What’s your ultimate finish line (goal)?

To get to the Olympic Games.

What are you most proud of?

Getting up after defeats.

What are your worst habits as an athlete?

Sleep in the afternoon, training 7 days per week, travelling far away from family.

Who is to thank/blame for introducing you to your sport? Tell us your history to how it all began and how you got to where you are now.

I started triathlon when I was 22 years old. I was a swimmer before until the age of 19. I didn’t know a sport called Triathlon. My swim coach suggested me to try this sport, when he knew that I had started running and I had already finished 3 marathons. So In 2009 I began my journey to triathlon.

What gets you out of bed in the morning and drives your passion to keep pushing yourself and chasing your finish lines?

I know I can still give a lot to this sport, I think I haven’t reached my limits yet, so I keep working to this goal.

If you could invite any 3 people (dead or alive) to a dinner party, who would they be and why? What would you cook?

Woody Allen because he is my favorite film director and Heinz Beck because he could cook for us a starry dinner.

What is your favourite 2XU product and why? How does this help you prepare, perform, recover and repeat?

I can not do without my 2XU Propel Pro wetsuit. It’s a second skin, comfortable and super performing!
