Harry Young

Harry has big ambitions in triathlon and his goal is to prove to himself that he can overcome any doubts that he has in himself, and prove that with determination and hard work, you will conquer whatever journey you've set for yourself.

What is your ultimate finish line?

I don't have a finish line, I feel if you have a finish line, you've finished whatever it is you set out to do. I'm not ready to finish, my goal is to prove to myself that I can overcome any doubts I have in myself, prove that with determination and hard work, you will conquer whatever journey you've set for yourself. My current goal is grab a podium in a stacked Ironman Pro field!

What are you most proud of?

I'm proud of how far I've come in this sport. I'm proud of what I've given up, proud of the long days, proud of the dedication I've given to the amazing sport that Triathlon is.

What are your worst habits as an athlete?

Wooow! There are so many! I think some of the worst habits I have is not listening to my body more. Sometimes I need to just pull the handbrake up, put my feet up and relax. Don't tell my coach, but I may or may not do as many calf raises as I say I do...and stretching...I definitely don't do that.

If you could invite any 3 people (dead or alive) to a dinner party, who would they be and why? What would you cook?

Oh man I'd actually love to have Kevin Hart, because he's hilarious and after a few drinks, he really has no filter. Secondly I'd invite Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye, as I think he would light up the room with his energy and flamboyancy, he is incredible! Thirdly, I would ask Wanda Skyes, a woman with so many talents in both acting and stand up comedy.

I'd just sit back and let the 3 talk amongst themselves and let everything and anything happen!
